Global Warming is true!!!!!!!!!!?

Rubye Bonnin: i farted

Jana Sakasegawa: Firstly there is no evidence for AGW, its an unproven hypthesis based on models where the predicted warming is an input, hence the "act now incase its to late" argument which translated means "act now incase we are actually right".As we do not understand the natural cycles that warm and cool the earth, we can not even begin to predict what is man made, hence a definitive answer is impossible. You need to understand that in science models do not count as evidence if they are un-validated, empirical data is required to justify a hypothesis. The signature for global warming predicted by the IPCC has not been found which demonstrates the models are either grossly wrong (and not useable for future projections) or global warming is not happening. Take your pic as to which it is.The IPCC (or any other organisation) has not yet found solid evidence that man made emissions are causing warming. The IPCC even acknowledge "the observed war! ming may be entirely natural" as do numerous peer reviewed papers. It is merely falsely presented to the public as "settled" via the media, as is the suposed "concensus" of scientists. There is also much evidence to contradict the hypothesis (hence peoples skepticism), including the earths geological history, more accurate co2 gas analysis and numerous peer reviewed papers that demonstrate all the warming is centuary is predominantly natural through empirical data.Snippet from one recent paper: "It appears that the two natural changes have a greater effect on temperature changes than the greenhouse effects of CO2. These facts are contrary to the IPCC Report (2007, p.10), which states that “most” of the present warming is due “very likely” to be the manmade greenhouse effect. They predict that the warming trend continues after 2000. Contrary to their prediction, the warming halted after 2000." (Akansofu, 2008)...Show more

Florencia Manolakis: People have not do! ne their reading and they do not understand the predicted time! scale. It will take sometime for people to get used to the idea, in the meantime we need leaders who act on the research right now."Fossil fuel burning is responsible for climate change because of the way in which an increased concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere alters the planet’s energy budget and makes the surface warmer." -- That's from NASA. Their FAQ in the arctic ice section is a pretty good, though simplistic, reference....Show more

Benita Nancy: I believe that there is global warming, global warming is green house gases which are given off by pollution ( u should know what that is) which causes the atmosphere to thicken. The suns rays come in, and usely most bounce off and go back to space, but global warming is trapping them in. The artic ice is melting, causing the waters to rise, and the heat from the rays is highering the tempature in the water, causing fish to die off, crupting the food chain.

Jade Ohno: al gore is a con artist f! or the ignorante , have a nice day.

Alise Rutgers: The earth has been cooling for many years now. You really should do your homework.

Luana Carothers: There is no evidence, just some scant ideas and weird projections about what could happen if it turns out to be true. So far, and we're well into this global warming thing, there have been no effects and nowhere on earth are there any proven warmer temperatures. The trends that do occur, in warming and cooling, are 100% natural and have happened for billions of years. All due to solar activity.

Dorinda Metzer: Wow! I never realized it until you put all those exclamation points behind the statement. It must be true! Suddenly logic and thinking have been over-ridden by emphasis.I don't believe it because the messengers are biased, the science is flawed, etc....Show more

Lorelei Lilburn: All what evidence? Please present something that is not part of the natural cyclic climate of earth.

Jude Colb! enson: We emit CO2. CO2 is a greenhouse gas. This doesn't mean that w! e are causing the climate to warm. The climate is certainly warming naturally and has been for hundreds of years since the Maunder Minimum. We are currently in the Modern Maximum. Do you thinks these labels of minimum and maximum are coincidental? They are not. They refer to sunspots which are related to solar output. In the minimum, we had cooler temps and at the max we had warmer temps. There is no reason to assume that the recent warming isn't related to solar output which isn't restricted to visible light. It includes much more than that and magnetic fields as well. There are buffers in the atmosphere that are poorly understood. For example there is a theoretical phenomena called the Iris Effect. When it gets warmer, the Iris Effect buffers the climate keeping it from warming as much. There are mechanisms for cloud formation and evaporation of water that is poorly understood. You cannot know that humans have caused any significant warming. We simply don't! have enough knowledge to conclude that with any credibility. Any warming that has occurred thus far, whether human caused or natural, has certainly been beneficial overall. I don't see how anyone could credibly argue that but some people just aren't going to be satisfied unless they can feel guilty for something and blame humanity or America or whatever you think is responsible. ...Show more
