Sharie Sommerville: you need to decide how much space you are willing to give up and how loud you want it to be. that will determine what amp/sub combo would be best. go to a shop or listen to friends systems to get a good idea of what you like ,then pick the best brand you can afford. alpine, kicker, kenwood etc. you dont have to change your head unit. you just need a RCA line level converter or an amp with a high level input.
