Esteban Lyson: There are a variety of things that non-litigating securities attorneys do. They provide advice as to compliance with the securities laws. They prepare and/or review SEC filings. I imagine some participate in mergers and acquisitions.
Freddy Shutler: Securities in banking are things like stock on the stock market that are worth money. Presumably if you are trading your company or buying stock you might need a lawyer ot handle legal questions such as insider trading.
