Davida Gisriel: No, that is just part of the job. They do not expect to get any tips.
Benny Stehno: I would say no! He is there to try to get your business, so he should be impressing you with his product and price for repair. If the work was done by him and you were satisfied with the end result, than I would tip him.
Jana Sakasegawa: no no no no no!
Emile Okafor: Taking a guess that the filters are clean, every thing is good on the inside belts, filters Etc.Are you sure the compressor is running ?How cold is it outside ?Are you calling for cooling or heating. If it is below 65 Degrees ,outside, your compressor may run but will not circulate enough refrigerant,The pressure to circulate the refrigerant is too low, due to the cool air on the outside condenser coil.To add to the condition you may also be low on the Refrigerant charge to begin with...Show more
Tatiana Evanosky: sorry i have had same problem but i know of no safe way to disable th! e ink warning
Marty Tichnell: FREE means FREE estimate. You are not obligated to give him/her tips unless you want to. Your decision buddy.
Idell Dufort: No. Doing estimates is part of the job.
Patrick Bitsui: listen to trouble.
Kenneth Thuesen: I am not real great with printers but I have worked on a few problems. You didn't say what type of printer or brand. With my ink jet it is usually a matter of a dirty jet. Cleaning the cartridge only sometimes works. Be care since it is ink and it is messy. My sister had the same symptom where they had plenty of ink but the printer said it was empty. She said the tech told her the cartridge has a hole for air to allow the ink to flow and that was plugged up. That hole is how the printer also tells if there is ink? I think...But sorry, I can't tell you where that hole in the cartridge is located on yours. Or if your printer even uses one. ...Show more
Pamela Meno: Interesting answers so far.Would like ! some input from the repair dudes that hang out in here.
! Stephnie Patout: Absolutely not. It is not expected.
Damaris Weiler: It's your choice if you want to give him a tip or not.http://www.handyman-business.com/Home-Repair-And-R...
Toya Braskett: The door Stop is attached to the door Jamb which the hinges are mounted to. Door casing transitions from the jamb to the wall surface around the door way.
Jodie Capella: I have a social studies essay and it's due tomorrow!! I typed it all up and i turned on my printer. i only need the black ink,i have plenty of black ink,but my computer keeps sayin that the cyan ink is out and it wont print anything without it! its too late 2 go 2 radio shack :S ugghhhh! any help? Bonus Question: Will putting water in the hole where the ink lies help??
Coleen Carignan: What should the pressure be on the freon? And also would the voltage play a part in the fan running but the compressor not doing its job?
Ismael Sixon: It depends upon where you are as many things have dif! ferent names in different places. In my area the innermost piece of molding is usually about 3/8 of an inch thick by about 1 1/4 inches. It is called a door stop and the door hits it as a stopping point. On dark room and sound proof doors you might also put one on the bottom. The door stop is attached to the door jam. The door jam is typically fit square to the door and shimmed into the sometimes not square opening.Weather stripping is made with a peel and stick backing. This should go against the door stop on the top and non hinge side of the door and the door will close against it. But on the hinge side the weather stripping should go on the jam. This helps to prevent the weatherstripping from being scraped off as the door closes (if it were put on the door stop on that side.) Weather stripping could be either closed cell or open cell foam depending upon the clearance available. Weather stripping that is too thick will make the door hard to close and tend to "sp! ring" the hinges, eventually making them loose....Show more
Wilbu! r Marksberry: NO
Granville Stray: As a repair dude, I would hope you start a trend. Right now, I don't get tips, but will get a cold drink and even vegetables from gardens.
Nell Dipiero: The part that makes a seal with weather stripping. They might be on the side as well.
Curtis Josef: I have the Epson Stylus C88
William Vickerman: Why not? I mean, he came all the way to your house... for free.ADDITION: Just because it's part of the job, & not expected, doesn't mean it's not nice. You could turn his day around with this random act of kindness. Even if it just $5.
Marcia Cheathan: Are you talking about a heat pump during winter or an a/c in summer? Either way there are too many variables to answer your question on refrigerant pressures. Such as outside temperature, inside temp, humidity etc⦠As for the voltage, both the compressor and condenser fan motor run on the same voltage. If a customer asked me that the first thing I would think of is ! a shorted run capacitor. However, your question is a bit vague.30 yrs hvac exp...Show more
Hal Palowoda: I don't know if that would work, but why not transfer everything onto a disc and print it out first thing in the morning at school?
Lia Argall: a door jamb [jam]
Billie Bratchett: First determine if the compressor is even running. if its running, whats important is the amp draw. if its not, determine why, then get it running. That may mean the compressor side of the dual run capacitor has failed. That may mean there's an issue inside the compressor. When its electrically happy, THEN worry about the refrigerant pressures and the subcooling/superheat differentials. If any of this is Greek to you, call one of my brethren. Don't try monkeying with it if you don't know what you are doing....Show more
Keven Drumgole: Agreed. Units come from the factory with a "dual" capacitor, although it has 3 polls; one runs the fan motor (fan), one runs the compresso! r (Herm) and the 3rd is a common poll (C) that they both use. It's poss! ible that the compressor poll is out. You can check the compressor wires and the compressor connection to see if any have burnt off. If neither, then it's time to get a tech.
Stanton Villao: You can call it " Door Frame Cornish " or " Door Frame Skirting " Good Luck !
Scot Sepulbeda: Email the essay to a friend and have them print it for you. Go over and pick it up.
Troy Staton: 1) i dont have a disc 2)i have social studies 2nd period 3)theres no where in school to do it at
Kris Bozelle: Hi,Nope. If he was any kind of repairman he wouldn't accept it. The question reminds me of the movie "My Blue Heaven" starring Steve Martin.S1lent
Sang Hanafin: Usually when I go to do an estimate, It's free.If I get the job...that alone is my reward.I am always grateful to a bonus but in my 35 years of handymaning have never received a tip for an estimate. If i did receive a tip, i'd love it.I usually only tip people in life that have to clean-up after me, ! like waitresses, bartenders, maids and barbers....Show more
Marylee Lucks: Yes because if he gets the job he will do it better. It's just good customer relations.
