I love electronic music! it lifts my spirits and makes me feel happy :) other genre's of music don't do that but electronic music just has the tendency to make me happy! :) It's probably my favourite genre of music along with house, rave, techno, trance, i love dance music! :)

From a producers point of view (mine)Making electronic music is not as easy as it looks, (or sounds). I can play Piano, Tenor Sax and I DJ and I like all 3 of them and Piano and Saxophone have provided me with a solid knowledge of music. Of all 3 I think DJing and producing is hardest in a certain way, at least it took me longest to learn even when I spent more time doing it. I can see why people support classic instruments (pianos, guitars, drums) over electronic music and D! Jing but what makes those instruments so different from MIDI controllers? Music is for sharing, sampling and exchanging, The way its changed is good in my opinion! Of course I don't want genres aside from electronic to be wiped out, no thatd be awful. Alden Soldano: Yes, I think it is. But, what do you mean by electronic music? For instance, techno and house music are all extremely normal music. Its just as conservative as any other type of common practice music. If you are talking about, say, Kontakte, by Stockhausen, then, even still, yes. Its non diatonic music, its serial electronic music. If twelve tone music is music, then dance, techno and house music are actually quite normal music. Take in count that m! odern diatonic function is relatively new. just some centuries old. Before that, there was never a concrete tonic in music, it was modal, and tunings were not equal tempered, and there was little to no harmony. Usually perfect fifths and fourths. Chords and triads are a very dense harmony, that would have been considered noise and not music back in the greek times. Music simply evolves, and our modern diatonic function is just some centuries old. So yes, techno and house are music, and even modern electronic music like Stockhausen's and Xenakis'. Because changing instruments and changing musical systems, like modal, tonic, serial, etc, doesnt make something stop being music, only because narrow minded people think that their music is the only good music and that the diatonic function and the triad has been the only music system ever... idiots... the truth is that the chord as we know is relatively new, the TET12 tuning is new, tonic and key are new.
