Sunshine Holets: try use a higher absorbency one.. leakage is normally because of the absorbency used
Aldo Decurtis: Try the playtex SPORT ones there more comfortable when your starting and they are very absorbent if your mom doesn't want to buy more than just wait and put the tampon in at the very last minute. Also try a larger absorbency because you might have a heavy flow.Hope this helps.
Nia Monopoli: I just got my period last night, so I just put it in this morning... I usually am fairly light on my first day, but heavy enough for a tampon.
Fannie Collingwood: It won't come out when your swimming. Water stops the flow until you get out. So maybe you should try super? If you don't want to, go swimming, and as soon as you get out wrap a towel around you just in case it leaks. Then go to the bathroom and put in a fresh tampon.
Logan Bero: Iâd suggest switching to menstrual cupsFor one tampons are unsafe and unhygienic, they prevent your vagina! s normal self-cleaning functions by plugging up the vagina and absorbing vaginal fluids, often in doing so they damage the vaginal walls that contribute to increased risk of infections, TSS and menstrual problems, they give bacteria the perfect warm, moist, nutritious environment to multiply and many tampon brands (such as Playtex) contain chemicals, additives and bleach that not only risk vaginal health but general health too. Teens and pre-teens are at additional risk because the walls of their vaginaâs are more prone to damage (tampons absorb vaginal fluids vital to keep vaginal walls moist and protected), also their immune systems are weaker than in adult women so would be at higher risk of TSS. Thus why tampons are linked to so many health problems and are the only menstrual option out of over twenty to have killed women. Thus why we in womenâs health have a saying âfriendâs donât let friends use tamponsâ. http://www.spotsite.org http://www.toxicshock.com h! ttp://www.tamponalert.org.ukhttp://www.wen.org.uk/sanpro/repor! ts/sanpro.pdf http://cookiepuss.tripod.com/tampons.htmTampons leak, it is a fact of life, furthermore when it comes to swimming they have a few disadvantages in that they have to be changed every 4 hours however as they absorb pool water it means they often need to be changed more often while swimming, the additional fluid in the tampon will also make it expand adding to bloating and cramping. Tampons also have strings which unless tucked out of the way, often when this is done it can dig in causing pain, can show beneath your skin suit. Obviously also you have the issue of increased cramping with tampons that could make it difficult to enjoy yourself while swimming. Try switching to a different tampon to see if another brand works better for you, and I would also suggest avoiding commercial tampons such as Playtex for your own health. Try an organic brand such as Cottons http://www.cottons.com.au or Natracare these are just like commercial tampons such as Playtex however t! hey are made from cotton rather than synthetics like rayon and do not contain any chemicals, additives or bleach â" thus safer and better for the environment, otherwise there is no difference. Sponge tampons such as Jade & Pearl are another option, again no synthetics or chemicals, but these are very different however that difference may work for you to prevent leaking. Other tampon options are cloth tampons or soft tampons such as Gynotex both a little different from commercial or organic tampons but again they are safer and may work better for you â" remember too, some women just cannot use tampons. Absorbancy is directly linked to infections and toxic shock syndrome so the answer is not just to increase absorbancy - always use the lowest absorbancy possible, you have to change absorbancy of tampons throughout your period as your menstrual flow slows. Higher absorbancy equates to higher risk, so you may want to just change more often until you are more used to using tam! pons during your periods so you better know what absorbancy to use when! . Remember too that you need to change your tampons every 4 hours or so, you also cannot use tampons if your flow is light or during the night - all these things significantly increase health risks. I would recommend a million times over you try menstrual cups instead of tampons, they are safer, cleaner, greener, cheaper, more convenient and easier to use, plus much better for swimming and they do not leak! Menstrual cups can be left in safely for up to 12 hours at a time without any leaking what-so-ever, they are easier to use as well as more comfortable than tampons. Because menstrual cups are made from either medical grade silicone or natural gum rubber it means that they donât encourage bacterial growth, they donât disrupt the vaginas natural functions, donât contain harmful chemicals and thus are safer and cleaner than tampons. It is because of this that menstrual cups can be left in for so long (so no need for constant changing in public bathrooms or carrying sp! ares/running out of spares), they can also be worn regardless of how heavy you are (so no constantly changing absorbencies), and they can be worn safely at night. Advantage too that they are environmentally friendly, cheap and offer money back guarantees so you can try them without risk. http://www.menstrualcups.org http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menstrual_cup http://www.miacup.co.za Menstrual cups such as Miacup, Mooncup UK, Mooncup US, Keeper, Divacup, Lunette, and Ladycup are better for swimming because they donât leak, you can leave them in for longer, they donât absorb pool water, they donât cause cramping, and there is nothing showing on the outside of your body. Given as you seem to need this as soon as possible I would also suggest that you might want to try softcups as these are easier to get in stores than menstrual cups, these are the same sort of idea as menstrual cups only they are shaped like a diaphragm and so sit closer to your cervix, but they too colle! ct menstrual flow rather than absorb it so have the same health benefit! s as menstrual cups, they are also more convenient, greener and cheaper than tampons. Some women do have problems with softcups, however as you are having problems with tampons there is little to loose in trying softcups, you stand a better chance of not leaking and of course they are far safer and cleaner than tampons. http://www.softcup.com...Show more
Virgil Loatman: you will get Tampax Compak Multi %. which has Lites, Regulars and Supers so it is going to artwork in spite of your flow. If the tampon is leaking, you will desire to alter to a greater absorbency, subsequently you may want Supers. wish this permits xXx
Cyndy Grimes: hey(:how long did you leave it on for?if it leaked during that period of timethen just bring along some more tampons whenyou go swimming. you might just have tochange it more often in order to keep it fromleaking. thats what i had to do too.hope this helped.if you have any questions please contactme at malpiszon94@yahoo.comgood luck ! & ciao!!...Show more
Estrella Northway: Try using Tampax they have been around the longest and i use them, i have bee swimming in them both here and abroad and they never leak on me!maybe you had it in too far or not far enough, or maybe you need a better flow one like heavy flow etc
Queenie Ruthers: Maybe try one with a higher absorbancy. And also, make sure to change your tampon right before you go swimming - that should ease your mind about leaking.
Jed Mutone: after you put one in, changing it helps. when your flow that heavy change it every couple of hours. dont wait.
Son Ahlers: You should probably get the super absorbancy...or change more often than you were.
Shon Almquist: If it's you first day of your period, you may be using the wrong size tampon for your flow. Try the "Super" sized ones instead. Those should help. :) Also, change it more often than the 8 hours it recommends until your period is lighter.Good luck! I hope I helped!! p>
