what is the best diet for cancer?

Lou Ravelo: No diet will cure cancer, help to cure cancer or have any effect on the progress of cancer.

Ambrose Mumma: Dietary needs will vary for different types of cancers - and individual circumstances too - so I would consult your physician and regard my remarks as very general remarks...For bone cancer - if already being treated - it's important that you have enough calcium since the cancer and some treatments themselves tend to deplete one's calcium. Cheeses/Milk...found in a balanced diet. You, however, don't want too much calcium.Vitamin B's C''s can help if you are being depleted - but I would consult the physician. I always have this neg. pic. of someone loading up on lots of vitamins and actually making a problem worse...Minerals like Iron ie. a good diet of spinach and leafy veggies and fish/shellfish...can be beneficial.Low Fibre diets tend to reduce large bowel movements and can reduce diahrea problems...but after surgery one needs plenty of fluids an! d fruit ...This is not true of all cancers! Some cancer diets might want more fibre. In my case with Kidney issues I have to avoid 'spinach' and not get too much proteins or any rich foods that might affect/cause gout...or even a kidney stone... Diets do not cure . Some diets might help prevent cancer - but usually it's in a very indirect way ie. some cultures with high incidents of stomach cancer have diets rich in smoked foods...but even then it's a relatively tiny risk factor. A diet rich in fibre and watwer is generally good - but it's relationship to preventing cancer tends to an indirect one. I am always amazed by some folkswho will latch onto a simple dietary cure. I had a radical nephrechtomy...and spent $50 k on medical tx - and yet I have a relative who seems to think that what I really need is just to eat a sweet potato every day - and it will be that potato that cures my cancerVisit the American Cancer Society for Bone Cancer...and some googles......Show more

Davis Zou: Stay away from protein diet. The diet is not m! uch help to cure cancer, but eating healthy food will help to make the immune system more stronger so the patient can fight the disease and could win and survive.

Simona Bulwinkle: No diet is better than another. Eat what you want. Diets don't cure cancer. I assume you don't have cancer?

Trena Berum: Raw food vegan diet is best for most cancers . Eat food high in Laetrile [b17 highest source are apricot seeds] also good . Google in Raw Vegan diet , and Latrile and Cancer into google box and check for your good self. x
