What types of things affect your credit score?

Randa Hessell: Im not sure ALL of what affects your credit score. I know car loans, credit cards, and paying most bills on time every month counts.And pretty much, no credit IS bad credit by default. Their are easy, yet complicated ways to start your credit out. Go to your local CREDIT UNION (usually after maintaining a job at least 3 months) and apply for a starter loan (usually about $200 you pay off in 6 months. low interest) and then the next level. $500.... pay off and AGAIN... the next level $700. Morris Olexy: Collections, judgements, using more than 30% of your available credit, bankruptcy, repos, evictions, late payments like 30, 60, 90, days late etc.. and yes no credit is like having bad credit, because you dont have a score, unless you have something positive reporting for 6 months in good standing.
